had previously proposed to His Majesty's Bŋvernment the following for ula: "It is unierstood that the abolition of the ayatum of Treaty Ports will not affect existing property rights, and that nationale of exch High Contrecting Party will enjoy the right to acquire and hold real property throughout the territories of oth r High Contracting Parties subject to the laws and regulations of that High Contracting Party".
